Multicultural Festival 2020

We’re looking for culturally and linguistically diverse young people to create and perform Cubby House – an experimental performance installation for the Multicultural Festival 2020.

We are looking for young people from 15 to 25 years-old from culturally diverse backgrounds to collaborate with us on a work that will celebrate Canberra’s diversity in a public space dedicated to young audiences and families.

  • Rehearsal Dates: TBC (based on participants availabilities):  5 sessions between 12 January and 16 February

Participants must be able to attend all of the Performance Dates below (exact times TBC)

  • Wednesday 19 February (evening) – Preview in Gorman Arts Centre
  • Friday 21 February (afternoon/evening)- Performance at Multicultural Festival
  • Saturday 22 February – Performance at Multicultural Festival
  • Sunday 23 February – Performance at Multicultural Festival

Art IRL: Teen Takeover

Want to be a part of a teens-only event at the National Gallery of Australia?
We’re looking for a team of interested artists age 13-18 to create an immersive performance for the night.
Free and exclusive for young audiences aged 13 to 18 years, Art IRL includes 3 hours of real-life encounters with art in a festival-style environment. Expect out-of-this-world experiences, artist-led workshops, performance, live music, snacks, and social activities responding to real life trends, technology and issues. Art IRL is parent and teacher free, supported by Gallery staff, hosts and artist-educators.

Participants need to be available for the following meeting and performance dates:

Friday 15 November (4:30-6:30pm)
Friday 22 November (4:30-6:30pm)
Friday 6 December (4:30-6:30pm)

Saturday 7 December (6pm-9pm) – Performance at NGA
